About

A Java developer by training, I made architecture my craft. Since starting out in Quebec in 2008, I have worked for software vendors, digital agencies and major companies such as Engie, Accor and Rolex, and one specialty took hold along the way: Adobe Experience Manager.

My role spans two fields. I design architectures and lead migrations all the way to production, and I manage the teams who deliver them, onshore and offshore. Between business and tech, I am the one who translates, decides and keeps things moving.

Today, I am bringing AI into the core of how we build software, from code generation to automated review.

A composable architecture for 10 hotel brands

Challenge

Move the websites of 10 hotel brands off heterogeneous legacy CMSs and onto AEM as a Cloud Service.

What I did

Set up CMS governance, designed a composable architecture with a Spring Boot middleware on AWS and a Redis cache, secured resources and access, provided DAM and Dynamic Media expertise.

Result

Unified governance across all 10 brands, faster websites, and a modern stack that developers are eager to work with.

From Lead Developer to Architect on a 2.2-million-customer website

Challenge

Modernize particuliers.engie.fr, Engie's consumer website, without disrupting service.

What I did

Migrated from CQ5.6 to AEM 6.2 then 6.4, redesigned every critical user journey with OKTA integration, moved from a monolith to Domain-Driven Design, managed 3 teams (12 people).

Result

Modern authentication across all critical journeys, and teams organized by business domain that are more autonomous, more efficient and free of duplicated code.

AI & Innovation

AI doesn't write my architecture, it speeds up its execution. I work with it like a supervised teammate: specifications before code, specialized agents for review, guardrails at every step.

  1. Ticket
  2. Specification
  3. Plan
  4. Implementation
  5. Agent review
  6. Human sign-off

Spec-driven development

Claude Code built into my daily workflow, using the spec-driven method (Spec Kit). I specify and plan first, then implement. I pick the model for each phase: a reasoning model to design, a fast model to build. CLAUDE.md files and AEM-specific skills keep the output on track.

Code-review agents

A specialized agent reviews code against Java and AEM Cloud best practices, detects bugs and duplication, and suggests fixes. It chains into a workflow that starts from the Jira ticket.

PoC: an MCP server for AEM

A custom MCP server connected to a local AEM instance, so that agents can query and analyze an AEM platform. First tool: detection of duplicate OSGi components (listeners, job consumers).

Work in progress

I started with GitHub Copilot day to day, then moved to Claude Code, which I run in IntelliJ's terminal. I am also leading a study on integrating it into the team's workflows.
